The leadership at Catalyst Missions is sad to report the death of Rev. E. Jerald Ogg, Sr.
Pastor Ogg is the father of Dr. Jerald Ogg, Jr, a founding board member of our mission, and the grandfather of Ms. Jana Ogg, one of Catalyst’s faith missionaries.
Pastor Ogg died June 30 in Maryville, Tenn., where he lived in retirement after more than 53 years of ministry that included seven pastorates in Missouri, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisiana and Hawaii.
While our hearts are saddened by this short-term separation of death, we believe, as Pastor Ogg lived and preached, that we can have hope in the resurrected Jesus Christ. The Bible says in II Corinthians 5:8 that all believers in Christ, at physical death are “absent from the body, but present with the Lord.” We are confident that Pastor Ogg is celebrating and praising Jesus today, pain and disease free, in the presence of God himself.
The Ogg family and CATALYST missions invites you to meet the resurrected Jesus Christ and to share our sure hope of eternity. John 3:16 tells us that if we believe in Him we will have eternal life.
